In Contact Jam Situations

Good connection depends on clear boundaries.  Feeling safe in connection is supported by being able to say ‘yes’ to some connections and ‘no’ to others.

In this workshop we will practice:

• easefully moving alone in a contact jam environment

• specific strategies for approaching others while dancing

• ways of entering and developing dances

• untangling from or leaving dances

• deflecting someone who might be trying to join or break up a dance

• setting limits to the amount of weight or pressure or speed in a dance
